VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT is made on [Date], BETWEEN:
[Organization Name], a [Type of Organization, e.g., nonprofit corporation] with its principal place of business at [Organization Address], ("the Organization"),
AND
[Volunteer Name], residing at [Volunteer Address], ("the Volunteer").
WHEREAS
- The Organization desires to engage the Volunteer to perform certain services on a voluntary basis; and
- The Volunteer wishes to provide such services to the Organization without expectation of compensation.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth herein, the parties agree as follows:
1. Volunteer Role and Duties
1.1 The Volunteer agrees to perform the following duties: [Description of Volunteer Duties/Role].
1.2 The Volunteer shall report to [Supervisor Name/Title] or such other person as the Organization may designate.
2. Term of Agreement
2.1 This Agreement shall commence on [Start Date] and shall continue until [End Date or "terminated by either party in accordance with this Agreement"].
3. Volunteer Status
3.1 The Volunteer acknowledges that they are not an employee, agent, or contractor of the Organization.
3.2 The Volunteer will not receive any wages, salary, benefits, or compensation for services provided under this Agreement.
4. Confidentiality
4.1 The Volunteer agrees to keep confidential any information regarding the Organization, its operations, or its clients, which is not publicly available.
4.2 This obligation continues both during and after the term of this Agreement.
5. Conduct and Policies
5.1 The Volunteer agrees to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and the Organization’s policies and procedures, including [list any relevant policies, e.g., code of conduct, health and safety].
6. Termination
6.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time and for any reason by giving [Notice Period Days] days’ written notice to the other party.
6.2 The Organization may terminate this Agreement immediately for cause, including but not limited to breach of this Agreement or misconduct.
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1 The Volunteer understands that participation may involve certain risks and agrees to assume full responsibility for any personal injury or loss sustained while volunteering, except as may be caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Organization.

8. Intellectual Property
